Our Black Hills gold jewelry comes to you brand new, in the box with all certificates and cleaning instructions, straight from the factory. Most all of our Black Hills Gold, specifically rings and gemstone jewelry, is made to order - custom items. Many of them are cast and created as they are ordered. For this reason, we ask your patience as your beautiful item is created for you. Building jewelry takes about 7-8 days before the item can be shipped.

Dakota Exchange Terms Of Service:
* Full payment, including all shipping and insurance charges, is due within 7 days of purchase.
* All PayPal and Google Checkout methods, major credit cards ~ Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover ~ cashiers checks, money orders and personal checks are accepted. PayPal and Google Checkout are our preferred payment methods. If you are using a payment method other than PayPal or Google Checkout, please let us know when it has been sent.
* Item(s) will be shipped either USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation or UPS, fully insured, within 8 business days after payment is received or the payment has cleared. Shipping to Canada is UPS Standard or USPS Registered Mail, fully insured, within 8 business days after payment is received or the payment has cleared. This timeframe is necessary due to the high number of customized orders we receive. Delivery time, the time that your item is in transit, is additional to shipping time and completely out of our control.
According to USPS International Manual, Code 130:
Coins; banknotes; currency notes; securities payable to bearer; traveler's checks; gold, silver, platinum, manufactured or not; jewelry; and other valuable articles may be sent ONLY in registered items.
Exceptions:
Coins sent to or from collectors or dealers may be mailed in ordinary (uninsured) parcels.
Coins; banknotes; currency notes, including paper money; securities of any kind payable to bearer; traveler's checks; platinum, gold, and silver; precious stones; jewelry; watches; and other valuable articles are PROHIBITED in Express Mail International shipments to Canada.
*** If we do not follow this regulation and there is a need to file an insurance claim, the claim will not be covered and customs can also hold us for breaking the international mail laws which is subject to fines and possible jail time.
* Insurance is included in the shipping & handling price of the item. We will not ship items without the appropriate insurance to protect your investment.
* We ship to US military personnel using APO and FPO addresses. We also thank you for your service to keep our country safe and free!
Shipping Discounts:
We are happy to provide discount shipping on multiple item purchaes. Our disount works as follows:
United States:
$7.95 for the first item, depending on what it is, few are more than $7.95.
$2.50 for each additional item.
Canada
Shipping is as stated in the listing. For multiple purchase discount, figure the highest shipping price of the items purchased, plus $2.50 for each additional item.
No Shipping Dates:
We do not ship on weekends or holidays.
We do not ship from 12-24 to the first Monday after the 1st of the new year. This is because of the holidays and it is also a time in which we do our year end inventory.
Return Policy:
We have a 7 day return policy. If you find that your item is not as described, simply return it to us within 7 days of receipt, in the same condition that you received it, and we will gladly refund your purchase price. Returns due to buyer remorse or other like issues are required to pay a 10% restocking fee. We do not refund shipping and handling unless we made a mistake in your order.
Shipping & Handling:
Shipping and Handling charges are based on the cost of packing materials, label and invoice paper & ink, various tapes, labor costs to properly package the item, postage charges (usually $4.60 for Priority Mail and 65ยข for Delivery Confirmation = $5.25 total) and insurance based on the final value of your purchase.USPS Insurance Rates Are As Follows:
$1.65 ................ $0.01 to $50
$2.05 ................ $50.01 to $100
$2.45 ................ $100.01 to $200
$4.60 ................ $200.01 to $300
$5.50 ................ $300.01 to $400
$6.40 ................ $400.01 to $500
$7.30 ................ $500.01 to $600
$7.30 plus $0.90 per $100 or fraction thereof over $600 to $5,000.
UPS rates vary by weight, value and destination.
Registered Mail to Canada varies according to destination, weight and product value.
*NOTE: Registered mail requires special packaging materials that cost far more than the materials used to send US orders. The required tape alone is $33 per roll and that roll doesn't go very far.
Canadian Orders - Duties, Tariffs, Taxes And Etc...
Due to customs, Canadian customers ususally are required to pay some form of duty, tax and/or tariff when receiving items from the US. Customers are solely responsible for the payment of these additional fees when they receive their package.
Local Pick Up
We do not have a brick and mortar store or another safe place for our customers to pick up their items in person. For this reason, we do not allow local pick up.
South Dakota State Sales Tax And Our Hospitality Program:
We are required to collect and pay state sales tax when a South Dakota resident purchases our products.
We feel this is unfair and want to encourage South Dakota buyers to purchase from us.
Our South Dakota Hospitality Program offers South Dakota buyers the same price as all other buyers. Meaning, we pick up the sales tax for you. You will pay the same price when buying our products as someone form another state.
